Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forgive the ones who didn't. Believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it! If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy. They just promised it would be worth it.

Playing Catch-up

Whoa... I haven't posted since July?! Has summer really gone by that fast? Well it is time to catch you all up on what we have been up to.... deep breath... here goes...

In August, my dad and I planned to meet up at my Nana's house for some summer fun by the pool. We picked a weekend, packed the car, and planned to do nothing but be by the pool. Mission accomplished! Dad brought Jackie and their dog Champ too. It stayed in the 100's the whole weekend, perfect for all day pool time.  It was so awesome seeing them and using that amazing pool and pool house that Nana has there.  Lots of fun times, and some good pictures! I miss all of them SOOO much already!

Happy dog!
Meghan's bachelorette party in Sunriver was about a month later. All I should really say about it is that we had lots of fun.  I came home with bumps, bruises, scrapes, and lots of fun memories!

The beautiful bachelorette!

Molly, me and Deb getting ready for dinner.

All 11 of us walking to dinner. We got some odd looks.

My Deb and I

My beautiful "adopted" sisters.
We cut Dave's hair. That in itself is a feat. Here was the before. He wouldn't let me take an after because he hated the cut the lady gave him. We ended up shaving it down in the shower by the end of the night to just a buzz cut.

Then came Meghan's bridal shower (the first one). It was hosted by the maid of honor, Meghan's cousin Molly, at her parent's house in Rock Creek.  Beautiful day for a backyard bridal shower.  Here's Meg and Deb again, looking super hot.

Deb, Ava, and me.

As we opened presents, I made Meghan's rehearsal bouquet.

About a week after the shower, we planned to close for a few days and remodel at the King's Blvd. location of Coffee Culture.  The day before we closed, the roaster was delivered.  It was such a fiasco getting a 900 pound roasting machine into the kitchen space of the building! It took us 4 hours, from the time I shook hands with the truck driver to sign the paper work, to having it inside the building. That was, by far, one of the longest days of my life.  I can sleep when I'm dead right? Here are some pictures of the roaster itself, and some of the moving process.

We are now roasting our own coffee! The cafe was remodeled into the "roastery."  They eliminated the food they were serving (paninis, scrambles, breakfast burritos, etc.) so we could have the roaster. It has a much more laid-back feel to the lobby. There's a couch, and a community table. Such AMAZING coffee! We also have a new blog! Check it out... the employee profiles are pretty funny. :)

We had such an amazing summer! Very busy. It was filled with TONS of fun and good memories! Oh and filled with delicious beverages too. ;)
